I'm new to Kickstarter, what is the process?
Welcome! Hopefully this is the first of many projects you discover and support via the platform! Kickstarter is not a store, backers pledge to projects to help them come to life and support a creative process. To thank their backers for their support, project creators offer unique rewards that speak to the spirit of what they’re hoping to create. If the campaign reaches funding, at the end you’ll be charged the amount you pledged.
Later, you’ll receive an invite to the “pledge manager”. This goes through another company called ‘BackerKit’. This is the EXTRA step that new backers sometimes get confused by. But because we have a global audience, and every country has slightly different rules about taxing products, we use a “pledge manager”. This is where you’ll be able to pay any relevant taxes and shipping costs and provide your details for delivery. This is an important step because without it, we cannot deliver your rewards. If we don’t know where you live we can’t ship the game!
The final rewards will be delivered to you around August 2027. You’ll probably forget all about it and then you’ll get a nice surprise in the post come next summer!

Why do I have to pay taxes and shipping after backing?
In short, because of the global audience. Every country has slightly different rules about taxing products, and to ensure everyone pays the right amount and no one overpays, we use a “pledge manager”. This is simply a tool to gather all the correct taxes and charge different shipping rates depending on where you live! It also gives you a last minute opportunity to upgrade your pledge or add any add-ons.
Also if you are in the EU you will not need to pay the €3 customs duty as we will be shipping from inside the EU.

Will the game insert and action mats accommodate card sleeves?
Yeah of course! The cards are ‘tarot’ size which is 120x70mm incase you wanna stock up on sleeves.

Do the beetle art posters and prints come with frames?

With the add-on "Set of Three Beetle Art Prints" will I be able to choose which beetles I get?
No there will be a set of 3 beetles. I’ve currently chosen the Horned Scarab Beetle, Japanese Rhino Beetle and the Chiron Beetle. If there is a outcry to include a particular beetle - I’m sure I can be persuaded.

Will the game be available in any other languages?
Currently, only in German. But that may change - I’m in talks with potential licensing deals which means the game would be translated in various languages.
It’s best to back the “Showdown at the pledge manager!” tier which will give you access to the pledge manager and also keep you updated on any additional languages when they’re confirmed.
Mycelia got translated into 14 different languages in the end so fingers crossed the same will happen for STAG.

I'm a retailer - What's the deal?
If you are a retailer, please pledge onto the “Retailers Only” pledge level. This deposit will gain you access to our retail form, which we will send out after the Kickstarter has completed. From there you will be able to order cases of STAG and games from our back catalogue at a reduced cost. Only retailers and distributors who pledge in this Kickstarter will be able to get the deluxe version.

What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
